Walk along paths that wind around trees and rolling hills. Settle down in a quiet spot, listen to the music of the forest and watch the sunset over the lake. Seven rooms form an immersive journey that takes the visitor on a walk through all the glades of the forest, representing everything from spiritual space to industrial cradle. The project was created in 18 months and opens 18th of May 2024.

Enchanting, purifying and mysterious and in constant conflict of interests. The forest is the focus of everyone's attention in this embracing exhibition at the museum Tekniska in Stockholm.

The exhibition consists of seven themes that are connected through a walk in between glades of the forest, representing everything from spiritual space to industrial cradle.  The paths wind around trees and rolling hills attracting the visitor to settle down in a quiet spot, listen to the music of the forest and watch the sunset over the lake. Some of the trees carry a voice that tells you what they died from, be it forest fire, deforestation or environmental degradation. In connection to the main area there is also a laboratory presenting wood material.

The project was created in 18 months and opened in May 2024. The exhibition is primarily about man's relationship with the forest. From life in the forest, the benefits of trees, human well-being and how we make use of the forest, to what products that are made from wood. All this revolves around four different concepts: value, ownership, time and innovation and the big question is: is the forest enough for everything and everyone? The whole process started through conversations with an environmental psychologist. A number of research institutions, companies, forest owners, forest companies and private individuals have contributed with knowledge to the production.
